Worship is at the heart of all we do as Christians. At Abiding Savior, worship is meaningful and inspiring. On Sundays the church is filled with people of all ages and all walks of life who come together to praise God and to grow in faith. Through worship we hear God’s word to us, bring our prayers and concerns to God, receive the good news that we are loved, freed and forgiven children of God, share in Holy Communion, and recharge our spiritual batteries to go out and serve God during the rest of the week. Worship Schedule
9:00 AM Traditional Worship
Traditional Worship is held in the Sanctuary with organ, traditional hymn singing, and Lutheran Book of Worship liturgies. This service features special music by the AGELESS Voices Choir and the Jubilation Ringers Hand Bell Choir as well as occasional music offered by our children’s vocal and hand bell choirs.
11:00 AM Contemporary Worship
This service is led by the Reigning Grace worship band and uses contemporary worship songs to offer praise to God. It offers a more laid back style of worship which is new, but still familiar. This service is family friendly. It is shorter and includes a Children's Time when the children leave to have story time during the sermon.
Welcome Families and Children! Families are encouraged to worship together at Abiding Savior. Children are a valued part of God’s church. Abiding Savior purposefully involves the children in the worship service through Children’s Sermons and during the offering, the children can bring forward their own offerings to the “globe”. The globe offerings go to support our companion congregation in Makungu, Tanzania.
Education Hour at 10:05 AM
Education Hour is from 10:05 AM to 10:55 AM between services for all of God’s children, young and old. Sunday School begins at age three and weekly Adult Forums are offered. Once a month a wonderful hot brunch is served and good fellowship is shared by all.
Nursery Care For those children too young to attend worship, the nursery is staffed September through May and open on Sunday mornings for your convenience. During the summer months the nursery is open for parents to use if needed. Also, the service can be heard throughout the church for parents who are “busy” chasing children during worship.
