Abiding Savior Preschool Registration!

It is time to register for the 2008-2009 school year. We are again offering Tuesday and Thursday mornings for 3 year olds, Monday, Wednesday, Friday mornings for 4 year olds, and Monday and Wednesday afternoons for another 4 year old class:

Age Sessions Time
3 – 4 years of age Tuesday and Thursday 9:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
4 – 5 years of age Tuesday and Thursday 9:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
4 – 5 years of age Monday, Wednesday, Friday 12:30 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Maximum class size: 20 children per class.

SERVICE TO OUR CHURCH

Acolytes

What: Light altar candles, assist with communion, and provide other assistance during worship services; training provided
Who: Youth 5th grade through Confirmation can serve
When: Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Lent & other select services

Altar Guild

What: Prepare Communion and altar for worship services; training provided
Who: Any adult
When: Scheduled for one month at a time

Befrienders

What: A caring ministry for supporting members during times of need; training provided

Buildings & Grounds

What: Assist the Resource Development Commission with mowing, parking lot lights, snow removal, cleanup, equipment and church maintenance, etc.

Cancer Support Group

What: Support group for cancer patients, caregivers and family/friends.
Who: Anyone affected by cancer

Christmas Treat Bags


What: Prepare bags with apples, candy, peanuts and Bible verse
for distribution at Christmas Eve services

Coffee Servers

What: Set up and oversee coffee and treats
Who: Any HS youth, adult, or family

selected services
Who: Middle-school students through adults; training provided

Homebound Communion

What: Bring and serve communion to shut-ins
Who: Any adult

Pew Service

What: Maintain pew materials and replace/straighten as needed.
Who: All adults
When: Once a month on weekday, at any time convenient for you.

Phone Callers

What: Assist office staff and committee leaders with phone calls to arrange for special events such as Smorgasbord, bloodmobile, pictorial directory

Prayer Chain

What: Prayer support for those dealing with illness, loss or other life issues
Who: All can participate in prayer or submit prayer requests

What: Knit or crochet shawls for pastors to take to those in the hospital or on home visits to the sick and shut-ins
