February Events at ASLC

Young at Heart

Tuesday, February 2, 11:30 am

This is a program consisting of a brief lecture and a story telling session focusing on the vital and very important work of American women during World War II. The lecturer is Karen A. Lindesmith, B.S. M.A. who lectures frequently on the many contributions of women during World War II.

In the aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti, there is an urgent need for food packaging at Feed My Starving Children.

Our congregation has been scheduled to package food on Tuesday, February 23rd, from 6:00-7:30 pmat the Coon Rapids site, 401-93rd Avenue NW. There are 7 openings for adults and 8 openings for children. There are also several openings for the 8:00-9:30 pm packaging time. Please sign up on the bulletin board across from the office. Funding is also urgently needed to purchase the food used for packaging. Our own children’s offerings in the globe during February will go to the Haiti relief efforts.
