Welcome to Confirmation at Abiding Savior! In our Confirmation program we not only learn about God and God's love for us, we also have fun as we serve others, grow in realtionship with one another and other caring adults, and grow in our faith.
Our Confirmation program is on a three year curriculum beginning in sixth grade and continuing through eighth grade. Students are then confirmed in the Fall of their ninth grade year on Reformation Sunday. The curriculum was written by Pastor Lisa and Pastor Ryan and they teach the confirmation large group classes
After the opening worship and teaching time with the pastors, the students break into small groups where they dig deeper into the topic for the evening. These small groups are led by caring adults called guides who stay with their small groups for all three years of Confirmation.
As a part of Confirmation, students complete service hours, attend worship regularly, and during the season of Lent they meet with an adult mentior of their choosing and together they attend our Wednesday evening Lenten services and discuss what they heard.
